We went on our first trip today and we went kayaking outside of Caberete. It was a wonderful experience as I got to see more of the natural settings of the Dominican Republic. I will admit that there were some moments where we got stuck on rocks but for the most part it was a successful kayaking trip.
I also learned and realizes that just about all of the buildings are made of cement and brick unlike in the U.S. Where other materials are used. This is usually because the materials are more expensive. This defiantly makes for interesting structures and architecture. I have often seen empty stone buildings. At first I thought it was strange. In the states ab buildings frame would not show how the rooms and structure would look in th end. Though when you use only cement and bricks, even without paint, one can tell what the building really looks like.
