Today was suppose to be the day we leave for the Dominican Republic; however because of this glorious weather our flight was cancelled and we will be leaving on Thursday now. Well I guess it's a good thing that I prefer snow to the warm beach any day of the week....well I guess that would be a good thing if it were true, but it is not.
Even though I wish I was in the Dominican right now, having these two extra days does have its advantages. I have absolutely nothing planned since I was anticipating being in the DR already. With that being the case, I slept in this morning and got to reorganize my room, something that I have been meaning to do since the summer.
I am staying positive and hoping the itinerary does not change too drastically because of the flight delays. my current concern is about the Latin Dancing Night on Thursday. I hope we are still able to do that. I traveled to Mexico City last summer for 1 month and learned how to salsa there. I know the DR leans more towards the meringue, but I'd love to learn a new Latin dance. They are so much fun and I always enjoy it! We will have to wait and see what happens.
As of now, the delay is NOT ideal but it seems to be working out. I am still so excited that I am able to experience a trip like this; it is a true blessing. I cannot wait to see how the trip unfolds, the stories I will be able to tell, the moments that could help guide my future, and the relationships that will be made!
